description What does our incredible park have to offer? We have 850 acres that are a beautiful mix of pine, fir, cedar, meadows and waterfront with plenty of activities to whet any recreational lover's appetite. Wet a line after launching your boat at our park or from our shore and try your luck at our reservoirs awesome fishing you can clean your catch at our provided fish cleaning station. Hike over 12 miles of trails; release some arrows from your bow on either our 3/4 mile archery course or adjacent archery range. Attend a cultural event at our attractive amphitheater; enjoy a nice barbeque in our parks sun shelter or in front of one of our 4 cabins or 105 campsites. Rent our Three Meadows Group Facility and have a little slice of the backcountry all to yourself with full commercial lodge and 9 cabins. Rent our Big Eddy Lodge facility and indulge yourself with a reunion, wedding, or other function on this former waterfront restaurant and lounge facility. What nearby ATTRACTIONS are there? Dworshak Dam Visitors Center: Inquire about a tour of the tallest straight axis concrete gravity dam in North America just a 5 minute drive from our Big Eddy Lodge or 40 minute drive from our campground. Also inquire about additional hiking trails around the reservoir as well as 105 boat or hike-in only roadless campsites that are spread all the way up this 54 mile reservoir. Dworshak National Fish Hatchery: Located at the confluence of the Main Clearwater and N. Fork Clearwater Rivers, this federal hatchery is one of the largest producers of hatchery born ocean run steelhead and Chinook salmon in the country. Fork from the National Fish Hatchery in Ahsahka, this Idaho Fish and Game ran hatchery mirrors the work that the national fish hatchery does. Clearwater National Forest Headquarters in Orofino offers up all your answers for a vast array of recreational opportunities in the surrounding 1.8 million acres of federal public lands. drivingDirection Coming from Moscow, Idaho: Take Hwy 8 East to Troy, Idaho (approx 11 miles). Just past town take a right on Hwy 99. Troy, Idaho to Kendrick, Idaho via Hwy 99 (take left at bottom of hill) Go through Kendrick until hit a Y section ~1/4 mile past town. Veer right. A sign will say Dworshak State Park: 24 miles to Freeman Creek, 28 miles to Three Meadows, ~35 miles to Dworshak Dam. After 1/8 mile, go right and cross bridge. Begin steep climb (Hwy P1) Stay on road towards Southwick - County Road P1 (also known as Cavendish Hwy), 9 miles (Southwick to Cavendish is 5 miles) At the Lewiston Grain Growers (2 grain silos), make a left onto Freeman Creek Road. There will be a Dworshak State Park sign stating the distance to Freeman Creek and to Three Meadows (~10 mi/13.5 mi.) When you get within 2 miles of the park the road has steep switchbacks. It has about a 7-9% grade going down to the park. (The road at this point only will accommodate RV/Trailers in a single lane around some corners.) The road to Three Meadows is a single lane gravel road.

importantInformation A 5.00 Motor Vehicle Entrance Fee (MVEF) is required for every vehicle entering Idaho State Parks (including visitors to campers). All campsite and facility use fees accommodate one vehicle MVEF per night stayed. Any applicable additional per-person or MVEF charges will be collected at the park. MVEF may be paid for at the daily rate or by purchasing a State Park Passport or an Annual Motor Vehicle Entrance Fee sticker. Visitors and park day users may be required to park outside the campground. All yurts, cabins and group facilities that are ADA accessible do not require proof of disability upon arrival. Camping is allowed in designated areas only. All boats, trailers, or other motorized vehicles must fit entirely within the campsite parking spur provided. Any equipment that does not fit entirely within the sites designated parking area must be parked outside the campground in an area designated by the park manager. RV's are not permitted when staying in facilities (yurts, cabins, cottages or houses). Campfires are allowed in designated areas only! All pets must be kept on a leash and not be left unattended. Pets are not allowed on beaches except for designated areas (not all parks have designated areas); Campers are responsible to clean up after their pet. Not all facilities allow pets. Quiet hours are enforced from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am. Fireworks are prohibited in all parks at all times. No Exceptions!
